Trauma & PTSD Healing
“Trauma is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength — it means you survived.”
Living with the effects of trauma can feel heavy, confusing, and lonely. You may find that your body reacts before your mind understands why, or that certain moments bring up emotions that feel too big or too familiar. You might also notice the opposite — feeling numb, disconnected, or “not fully here.”
Trauma therapy offers a gentle, caring space where you don’t have to hold it all alone. Here, your story, your pace, and your inner wisdom are honoured. Together, we explore your experiences with compassion, helping your nervous system soften, find safety, and slowly release what it has been carrying for far too long.
When to Reach Out for Trauma Support
- Often feel overwhelmed, anxious, or “on edge”
- Disconnect, shut down, or feel numb in daily life
- Experience triggers or reactions that feel out of your control
- Carry shame, guilt, or self-blame linked to past experiences
- Struggle to trust, feel safe, or let people close
- Have memories, sensations, or emotions that you avoid because they’re too painful
- Feel stuck and long for inner peace, clarity, or relief
Reaching out is a brave and loving act of self-care. You do not need to be “ready to talk about everything” — we begin exactly where you are.
How Trauma Therapy Can Support You
The Gentle Gifts of Trauma Healing
Healing is not about re-living the past — it’s about gently supporting the parts of you that had to survive it. We move slowly, with care, helping your mind and body learn that it is safe to feel, safe to rest, and safe to be here.
Through this nurturing process, you may begin to understand your reactions as protective, not “wrong” and feel more grounded, calm, and connected to yourself.
Build inner safety so your body can relax and trust again and hold your story with compassion rather than shame.
Create space for joy, self-expression, and ease, and feel more present and emotionally supported from within.
A Caring, Trauma-Informed Approach
Your healing journey is honoured with sensitivity and respect. We may draw from:
- Compassionate Inquiry (deepening self-understanding with care)
- Internal Family Systems & Parts Work (supporting your inner world)
- Somatic & Mind-Body Practices (listening to your body’s wisdom)
- Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) (releasing deep-held trauma at its source)
- Gentle Hypnotherapy (accessing subconscious healing safely)
- Mindfulness and Nervous System Regulation
Our Therapy Process
1. A Safe Beginning — Soft Landing & Connection
Our first session gives you the space to arrive as you are. We take time to understand what you need to feel safe and supported. There is no pressure to share more than feels right.
2. Co-Creating Your Path Forward
Together, we explore what your heart and nervous system are longing for. We gently set intentions and choose a healing approach that feels nourishing and empowering for you.
3. Ongoing Support — Healing, Integration & Growth
We move slowly and intentionally, tending to the parts of you that need care. You’ll receive tools and practices to support you in daily life, between sessions, so the healing continues gently at your pace.
You are not broken. You adapted to survive — and now, you deserve to heal.
If this resonates, I’m here to walk beside you.
